KOSBE Launches 1st Creative Photo Contest for Winners & Runners Up

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Kingsport Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE) today announced the start of an inaugural photo contest for all current and past KOSBE Award winners and runners up. The contest, dubbed The Most Creative KOSBE Award Photo Contest, is open to KOSBE award recipients only. It is a competition for who can take the funniest, most interesting, or most appealing photo with their KOSBE award in the photo. The guidelines are as follows:
- The photo submission portal will be open for three weeks beginning today Monday, March 4, 2013 and ending Monday, March 25th, 2013.
- You can submit up to five (5) photos.
- The photos must contain the actual KOSBE Award
- People in the photo are optional
- Original & Quality Photos
- Professional & Appropriate Appearance
- No text
There will be two winners – one from the Winners pool and one from the Runners Up pool. Contestants will vie for a KOSBE Social Media Boost Kit which involves their photo and business information published on the KOSBE – Award Winners Facebook page as the Cover Photo for a period of two weeks, creation of a Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube channel, a featured article in The Business Beacon (KOSBE’s monthly newsletter), being featured in KOSBE’s biannual magazines and a pair of tickets to the KOSBE Awards 2013. The winning Runner Up will have the photo published as the KOSBE – Award Winners page as the Cover Photo for a period of one (1) week immediately following the Winner.
Aundrea Wilcox, Executive Director of KOSBE, said, “This is a new way to further promote our Winners and Runners Up in a way that adds value not only to their businesses but also adds value to winning a KOSBE Award. It is not just a one-night success, but it is winning a commitment from KOSBE to connect winners with valuable tools and resources, help them promote and market their business for its entire lifetime.” She continued, “I don’t think you can put a price tag on that.”
To submit your photos, all KOSBE award winners and runners up are encouraged to post their photo(s) online on the wall of the Facebook event page The 2013 Most Creative KOSBE Award Photo Contest. If this is a not possible, then e-mail your photo to dschools@kosbe.org and your photo(s) will be uploaded manually to the event page.
